How do I become a youth volunteer?
Youth aged 15-24 can become involved with Conflict Mediation
Services of Downsview in a variety of ways:
- Youth Advisory Committee Member
- Volunteer Mediator
- Peer Workshop Facilitator.
Edmonton YouCAN conference
The Youth Advisory Committee consists of a group of young people who guide youth programming at CMS-D and develop initiatives to peer educate within the Jane-Finch community. Another way for interested youth to give back to the community is through the Community Mediation Program and Restorative Justice Initiatives Program as volunteer mediators. Youth looking for opportunities to develop and strengthen their skills in public speaking and workshop facilitation can volunteer as Peer Workshop Facilitators.
